New Orleans AV That Disappears Into The Room

Tech fades into the background in our New Orleans Research Suite which lets participants and clients focus on the discussion. The HD video and high-quality setup in the New Orleans Research Suite is custom built to be a permanent part of the facility that is also flexible to meet the needs of every client. The result is clean sightlines, clear audio and feeds from any room in the facility for on-site observers and off-site viewers.

Permanently installed, flexible configuration

Our permanent AV setup is designed to meet the needs of any focus group we host in our New Orleans Research Suite, from food tastings to mock juries. Participants aren’t distracted by tripods in the room or a row of visible microphones. In our less-intrusive setup, the camera is in the ceiling positioned above the moderator to deliver the familiar angle showing the back of the moderator’s shoulders and the full table of participants.

Seeing participants is half of the data, hearing what they say is also critical. Each focus group room in our New Orleans Research Suite is equipped with multiple directional ceiling mics that are positioned to clearly capture voices around the table. This strategic placement keeps the tabletop clear of microphones and stands while ensuring that every word is recorded.

Additional coverage when required

Each room is equipped with a primary pan, tilt and zoom camera mounted in the ceiling to follow the discussion. For complex sessions that require additional coverage of participants hands interacting with products, or to capture closeups of multiple participants simultaneously, we can add up to seven additional cameras.

To meet clients’ advanced AV needs our facility is built with hardwired connections in every room to support all additional video and audio requirements. This gives each room the flexibility to add up to all seven additional cameras and as many microphones as are needed anywhere in the room to capture clear audio and video.

When a moderator also needs to be recorded, including when referencing a board, monitor or flipchart, a camera can also be dedicated to the moderator.

Watch from anywhere

Clients can use any room in our facility to watch a focus group, and if more than one focus group is happening simultaneously, then any focus group can be viewed from any room. For a mock jury, trial consultants can watch all of the panels from one room while attorneys watch them from another.

Participant’s AV

Some focus groups require participant to watch ads or other media. Our facility includes large, multiple large rolling monitors that can connect to any device. Our team has the adapters, cables, speakers, laptops and other equipment necessary to show participants any client media. Participants regularly watch product commercials, political advertisements and product demonstrations for FDA regulated products.

Why it works

Recording equipment can make participants self-conscious. Our approach integrates cameras and microphones into the room so they feel natural and unintrusive. Paired with professional observation setups and reliable livestreams, your team sees what matters with the clarity of being in the room.
